I would like to welcome you all to Tiger Point Soccer for our Fall 2020 Season. For both our
returning families and our new families we are so glad you have chosen to join us for another fun soccer

This is a time for us to look at all the players in each division and assess their skill level and
ability. Our goal is to strive for a safe, fun and enjoyable experience for your soccer player. As a reminder,
this evaluation process is not to determine whether your child plays or not. Every child registered will be
placed on a team and have an opportunity for equal play time in both practice and games. For Evaluation
play, please have your kiddos in cleats, shin guards and a ball if they have one.
All Evaluations will be held at Tiger Point Park on the Football fields. The address of our park is 1370
Tiger Park Ln, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563. I will be doing a brief parent meeting at the beginning of each
Evals session and we will meet under that first pavilion on the pathway in between the football field and
soccer fields. To ensure timely start and finish for each session please arrive 15 mins early to your

Tiger Point Rec Soccer players. Your child gets to train with some of the absolute best coaches on the
Panhandle. This Free clinic will be hosted by our local club, Bayside Dynamo FC and you must pre-

Coaches Clinic - This season we will have 2 Coaches clinics to start the season off that is Mandatory for
all volunteer coaches. We will have a Bayside FC coach run these clinics to provide some basic training
to better support our Volunteer coaches get a great start to their practices. More information will be
provided this week on the date and location of these clinics.

Practice-- Practice Times for all teams are determined by the Coach's schedule, however here are the
general guidelines for practice schedules: 2 Practices per week with a duration of 45 mins to 1hr per
practice. Earliest Practice starts at 5:30PM. Latest practice starts at 6:30PM (this may vary for U15).
Practice times and dates are subject to change at Coach's discretion but will be communicated to the
affected team in advance so that parents can adjust accordingly. The coaches will have a choice between
a Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Thursday schedule. All practices will be held at Tiger Point Park on
the appropriate Field for your age group. (Practice Field Map attached)

Special Requests: At Tiger Point we allow for special requests to be made within reason to
accommodate schedules and practice times. With that being said, the primary goal in team formations is
to achieve balance across the division. If we can achieve the primary goal and meet the needs as
requested, then we will strive for that. While most of the time, we are able to accommodate, you can
imagine the number of moves that need to happen to position each family in the time slot and days they
request. Once we have posted the final rosters for each team, we will be unable to make any further
adjustments. In that regard, if you have requested your child play in the next division up, we will make
those approved moves after we've seen them at evaluations. As we go through this evals week, please
reach out with any questions or concerns so we can help get your season started off on the right foot.

Youth Soccer Association

If you aren't aware already, as a reminder we are a 100% volunteer park. From the Board of
Directors, Commissioners, Coaches and Team Parents, all of these roles are filled with volunteers to help
run the sports leagues. This is one of the best parts I believe of Tiger Point as it creates an environment
and culture where everyone is involved with their kids and other families who you do life within our
community. We are still in need of volunteers to coach many divisions so if you haven't signed up please
consider doing so. If you're concerned about knowing anything about soccer or coaching, we can get your
help with partnering you with a more experienced coach/volunteer. Ideally, each team will have one
coach and an assistant coach to share the burden of practices and games so that one person isn't doing
everything. Each team will also have a Team Parent which will help with the logistics of the schedule and
team so that the coaches can focus on field activities.

VERY IMPORTANT: For those who have enrolled as a volunteer and have not filled out a background
check form in the last year, you can find that form at the following link:

One last note regarding volunteering. Since we are not paid professionals, in all likelihood we are not
training your kids to make the national or Olympic teams:) I hope with that understanding we all work
together to foster a positive and fun environment for our kiddos. Our volunteers do a great job coaching
and managing their teams each season, so I expect the Fall to be the same. Should you have any issues
with any team or coach, please reserve those discussions away from the field of play and from the kids. I
am available to discuss any matter or issue that may arise during the season. Rest assured in my years
here at Tiger Point, it';s been a very positive experience and believe it's due to our awesome families who
take part in activities here. So please consider stepping up to volunteer as we cannot form teams and
start practices unless we have a coach for each team.
